Job summary

Datonomy Solutions is seeking a Senior Test Analyst to join our team in Cape Town. This contracting, onsite role focuses on owning complex test scopes, delivering manual and automated testing, and strengthening regression coverage to support risk-based releases.

You will design risk-based tests, execute functional and exploratory testing, develop automated tests within the existing framework, and verify interfaces using SQL and API checks.

Qualifications

• Substantial hands-on software testing experience with ownership of complex test scope.
• Manual testing and practical automation development experience, maintaining tests as the system changes.
• Experience with an automation framework and the programming or scripting language used by that framework.
• Strong test design, defect investigation and requirements traceability skills.
• Ability to validate integrations or APIs and interrogate data using SQL where needed.
• Evidence of working independently, reviewing others' work and explaining release risks clearly.

Responsibilities

Preferred Experience And Capabilities

• Retail transactional systems, ecommerce, payments, point of sale or supply chain testing.
• Experience integrating automated tests into delivery pipelines and managing unstable or unreliable tests.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent professional testing development.
