Job summary

Rosebank College, part of The Independent Institute of Education, seeks a lecturer to teach agreed hours across information systems and analytics, manage module pacers, and support at-risk students. Qualifications

• Lecturing experience in databases, programming, big data or data science
• Familiarity with advanced Excel and Power BI is advantageous
• Copy of academic transcript is required
• Knowledge of South African higher education regulatory framework

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and engage students based on module requirements
• Update learning materials and LMS; provide timely feedback
• Engage and prepare students for assessments; identify at-risk students
• Monitor student engagement and assessment submission with escalation
• Attend academic meetings across faculties
• Reflect on, review and analyse student module results
• Support monitoring of at-risk students in allocated modules
• Complete a set number of academic professional development interventions per cycle
