Job summary

Rosebank College seeks a lecturer in information systems/IT to teach and engage students, track assessments, and support at‑risk learners. The role requires strong academic credentials and prior lecturing or tutoring experience within relevant IT domains.

You will collaborate with the Central Academic Team to analyse results, update LMS, and contribute to programme development while maintaining high teaching standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (NQF Level 9) in Information Systems or closely related IT field.
• Master's degree (NQF Level 9) in cognate business or technology field with IT content.
• Lecturing/tutoring experience in databases, programming, big data, data analytics or similar.
• 2–3 years lecturing or formal tutoring; 1–3 years industry experience advantageous.
• Copy of academic transcript.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures according to module pacers and requirements.
• Update learning management system and provide feedback to students.
• Identify at-risk students and develop assessments with Central Academic Team.
• Monitor student engagement and assess module results.
• Participate in academic meetings and contribute to academic development.
