Job summary

Rosebank College, the Independent Institute of Education (The IIE), invites applications for a lecturer to teach and assess modules in Information Systems and data science. The role requires delivering lectures, tracking assessments, and supporting students within a dynamic higher education environment.

You will engage with the Central Academic Team, update the LMS, and contribute to academic development. A relevant Master's degree and lecturing experience are essential, with Power BI and Excel

Qualifications

• Master's degree (NQF Level 9) in Information Systems or closely related field with data science content
• Lecturing/tutoring experience in databases, programming, big data, data analytics or data science
• 2 to 3 years Lecturing or Formal Tutoring
• 1 to 3 years of industry-specific experience in area of specialisation advantageous

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and engage students based on module-specific requirements in line with module pacers.
• Update learning management system and provide feedback to students.
• Engage and prepare students for assessments, identify at risk students, and develop assessments in accordance with Central Academic Team briefings.
• Attend and participate in academic meetings across all faculties.
• Reflect on, review, and analyse student module result.
