Mr D, a division of the Takealot Group, is seeking a Data Product Manager to own the data product roadmap and drive cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders across business, engineering, and data science teams.

You will define, develop, and execute a comprehensive data strategy, balancing long-term vision with short-term wins to deliver measurable business value. The role emphasizes governance, analytics, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Advanced Diploma in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience.
• 5 years proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role, ideally within an e-commerce or data-centric organisation.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders across business, engineering, and data teams.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to turn data into actionable roadmaps.
• Familiarity with agile development and working with technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Data Strategy & Roadmap Development: Define a holistic data strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Advocacy: Evangelize data capabilities and align OKRs with business goals.
