Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks a Data Migration Consultant to lead data migration efforts for ROA-FTD (Forecast to Deploy). You will work with clients on migration projects, build and maintain databases on Microsoft SQL Server, and utilize SSIS/SSRS/BI Publisher within a data-centric delivery model.

The role requires strong problem solving and excellent written communication to articulate complex issues to stakeholders across business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• 5 years working experience with large enterprise applications or systems preferred.
• 8 years experience in data migration and optimization skills.
• Must have experience with large datasets to analyze for accuracy and consistency.
• 5 years of experience in Data Management and/or IT Systems Management.

Responsibilities

• Data Mapping and Migration of Manufacturing Data (Bill of Materials and Routings).
• Experience with Bill Materials, Routings, Resources, Workers and Product Master in D365 F&O.
• Understand SSIS packages and DMF with Batch handling.
• Manage data extraction criteria, data cleansing, and mapping for ETL processes.
• Fill templates by the Business for the Construct process.
• Resolve load errors (Defects logged in DevOps).
• Provide status reporting per functional area as needed.
• Engage with business resources per stream to resolve data queries.

Key purpose:

Data Migration Consultant - ROA - FTD (Forecast to Deploy), Migrations, Databases, SQL Server Integration Services, T-SQL (Transactional SQL) As a Data Migration Consultant ROA FTD you will work closely with our clients and provide solutions for the challenges of data migration. The candidate should have experience in building and maintaining databases on Microsoft SQL Server platform as well as working with various database management tools such as SSIS/SSRS/BI Publisher. Strong problem solving skills are needed along with excellent written communication skills which enables them to explain complex issues clearly and concisely to stakeholders across business

Duties and responsibilities :

• Responsible for the Data Mapping and Migration of the Manufacturing Data in the areas of Bill of Materials and Routings
• Experience of Bill Materials, Routings, Resources, Workers and Product Master in D365 F&O
• Understanding SSIS packages as well as the D365 DMF (Data Migration Framework) with Batch handling
• Manage, facilitate, and drive the extraction criteria, data cleansing, object mapping, field mapping and value mapping for the ETL process
• Manage, facilitate, and drive the filling in of the templates by the Business for the Construct process
• Facilitate Issue resolution where there are load errors (Defects logged in DevOps)
• Status reporting per functional area as and when needed
• Engage with business resources per stream to resolve data queries
