Placements24 currently seeks a seasoned Data Manager to lead clinical trial data operations remotely across South Africa. You will design databases, CRFs, and data validation specs, ensuring data integrity for regulatory submissions.

The role partners with biostatistics, programming and clinical operations to support drug development, enforce GCP, and maintain data security. A 4+ year background in clinical data management and proficiency with EDC systems is required.

Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Data Manager to oversee clinical trial data operations in a fully remote capacity. You will be responsible for the design, development, and management of clinical databases, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and security of data collected during clinical trials. This role is crucial for supporting regulatory submissions and drug development efforts, requiring close collaboration with biostatisticians, clinical operations staff, and study teams. Key Responsibilities

• Design study databases, including case report forms (CRFs) and data validation specifications.
• Oversee the collection, cleaning, validation, and reconciliation of clinical trial data.
• Develop and implement data management plans (DMPs) for clinical studies.
• Manage user access and maintain the security and confidentiality of clinical trial databases.
• Perform data quality checks and resolve data discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with biostatistics and programming teams for data analysis and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Life Sciences.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in clinical data management .
• Proficiency with Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems (e.g., Medidata Rave, Oracle Clinical).
• Strong understanding of clinical trial processes, GCP , and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent data cleaning and validation skills.
• Proficiency in SQL or other database query languages is a plus.
