Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or related supply chain role in manufacturing.
Proven experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various departments.
Understanding of manufacturing principles and production workflows.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic Port Elizabeth environment.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules to meet customer demand and internal deadlines.
Coordinate with sales, procurement, and production teams to ensure smooth material flow and resource allocation.
Monitor production progress, identify delays, and implement solutions to keep schedules on track.
Analyze production data, forecast future needs, and recommend capacity planning adjustments.
Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management.
Collaborate with operations to identify process improvements and cost savings.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage planning data and track production orders.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding production status and potential issues.
