The role involves developing and maintaining detailed schedules, coordinating with sales, procurement and production, and ensuring on-time fulfillment while minimizing waste in a high-volume plant.

The ideal candidate has a relevant degree, proven scheduling experience, strong analytical and collaborative skills, and proficiency with ERP/MRP tools such as SAP or Oracle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Production Scheduler or in a similar planning role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning principles.
• Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems and planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Advanced Planning Systems).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Sandton, Gauteng.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules for multiple production lines.
• Coordinate with sales, procurement, and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
• Monitor production progress against schedule and proactively address any deviations or delays.
• Optimize production sequencing to maximize efficiency, minimize changeover times, and reduce waste.
• Maintain accurate production data and generate reports on schedule adherence, capacity utilization, and potential issues.
• Identify and communicate potential scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with production management to forecast capacity requirements.
• Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate rush orders or changes in demand.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to planning and scheduling processes.
