Placements24 seeks an Operations Analyst in Paarl to optimize production and logistics through data analysis. You will collect data from multiple sources, build dashboards, and provide actionable insights to management to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

The role requires a quantitative mindset, strong Excel, SQL, and data-visualization skills, plus the ability to communicate findings clearly to operations teams and engineers, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Statistics or related quantitative field.
• 2+ years of experience in operations analysis or industrial engineering support role.
• Proficiency in Excel (advanced), SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good understanding of industrial operations and supply chain principles.
• Effective communication for reporting findings and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze operational data from production, inventory, and logistics.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs.
• Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
• Collaborate with operations managers and industrial engineers to translate data insights into recommendations.
• Conduct root cause analysis for operational issues and support corrective actions.
• Assist in forecasting, capacity planning, and resource allocation based on data analysis.
