Placements24 invites a skilled Chemical Process Optimization Engineer to join our client in Mahikeng, North West. You will analyze operations, identify optimization opportunities, and implement data-driven solutions to improve yield, throughput and energy efficiency.

Working with operations and maintenance teams, you will develop SOPs, monitor results, and support commissioning of new or modified equipment, all while upholding safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in process engineering with a focus on optimization.
• Proven track record of implementing improvements.
• Proficiency in SPC and data analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsabilités

• Analyze process data to identify opportunities for optimization in yield, throughput, and energy consumption.
• Develop and implement process improvements using statistical methods and engineering principles.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions to ensure stable and efficient production.
• Utilize process simulation and modeling tools to evaluate different optimization strategies.
• Collaborate with plant operations and maintenance teams to implement changes and monitor their effectiveness.
• Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) based on optimized processes.
• Prepare reports and presentations detailing optimization projects, results, and recommendations.
• Ensure all optimization activities comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Stay informed about new technologies and best practices in process optimization.
• Support the commissioning of modified or new process equipment from an optimization perspective.
