MRI Software in Cape Town is seeking an Application Support Analyst to diagnose complex, database-driven issues and deliver data-driven solutions for clients. You will own escalations, analyse root causes, and drive long-term resolutions in a hybrid setup with three days of work from home per week.

The role requires 2–4+ years of enterprise software support, SQL and DB expertise, and strong communication to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Formación

• 2–4+ years’ experience in application or technical support within enterprise software.
• Experience with query performance tuning (indexes, execution plans) and relational databases.
• Fluent in English with ability to explain complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Analyse complex data-related problems using custom-built SQL statements and queries.
• Act as a technical escalation point for advanced database and application issues.
• Perform root cause analysis on database structures, queries, or data integrity.
• Review and optimize existing queries to improve performance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and translate them into solutions.
• Ensure delivery against SLAs and KPIs, maintaining high client satisfaction.
• Document troubleshooting steps and best practices.
• Participate in UAT and validate data fixes and database changes.
