Job summary

Manpower Group is seeking a skilled Data Centre Cable Technician to perform installation, decommissioning and testing of CAT5e, CAT6 and fibre cabling in a data centre environment. You will troubleshoot copper and fibre cabling with appropriate instruments and ensure compliance with SLAs.

The role requires 3+ years of cabling experience, knowledge of data centre environments, and the ability to work independently while being a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Full installation & decommissioning of cables per customer requirements.
• Test and troubleshoot cabling using OTDR, Power Meter, Light Source and related equipment.
• Basic network understanding and issue troubleshooting.
• Configure and test Power Distribution Units (PDUs) and firmware updates.
• Execute Remote Hands requests for clients (reboots, patching, labeling).
• Work with wireless and fibre optics, including media conversion.
• Maintain SLA/MSA compliance and ensure uptime targets.
• Run scheduled jobs and perform data centre administrative tasks.
• Coordinate with support teams to maximize uptime and service quality.
