Job summary

Qualifications

• Engineering or related technical field required; site experience preferred.
• Trade qualification may be acceptable with extensive site experience.
• Valid Health & Safety certification (e.g., SAMTRAC/NEBOSH/NOSA/OSHA).
• Experience supervising multiple contractors and site activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise generator enclosure assembly and related components.
• Manage structural fabrication, fit-up, bolting and welding activities.
• Interpret GA, fabrication, structural and lifting drawings.
• Ensure dimensional checks and quality conformance.
• Enforce OHSA and client safety requirements on site.
• Coordinate artisans, welders, boilermakers, fitters and electricians.
• Plan daily/weekly activities and track progress against schedule.
• Identify fabrication defects and ensure corrective actions.
• Control materials, inventory and lifting points for dispatch.
• Communicate work plans, progress and issues to stakeholders.
• Prepare daily, weekly and inspection reports; NCRs as needed.
• Mentor junior supervisors and promote teamwork.
