Role Purpose
Gather, analyze, and interpret data from various sources, extract insights in a clear, precise, and actionable manner, and present data in an understandable way for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- 3-year Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Management, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- National Diploma in IT.
- Applicable technology certifications.
- MS PowerBI PL-300 (Advantageous).
- 3-5 years' experience as a data analyst or related field.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, PowerBI, SSRS).
- Business acumen.
- Data and statistical modeling.
- Financial modeling.
- Database and/or data product design.
- Data mining and warehousing techniques.
- BI applications relevant to the business area.
- Software Development Lifecycle knowledge.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Gather information from various sources, analyze results, and interpret patterns and trends.
- Report findings in an accessible and accurate manner to support operational, tactical, and strategic decisions.
- Create detailed specifications for data sources, flows, transformations, storage, and reporting.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
- Promote the use of enterprise and divisional data standards to improve data quality and ensure compliance with data governance.
- Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable data solutions.
- Process live and confidential data according to guidelines.
- Evaluate system changes impacting reporting and business decisions.
- Develop professional reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
- Test, debug, and reconcile data to ensure integrity.
- Ensure data accuracy and proper attribution to costs.
- Communicate insights effectively, including visual representations.
- Build models to guide business decisions, including financial analysis.
- Perform data analysis to improve understanding of trends and behaviors.
