Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Cybersecurity Threat Analyst to join a remote-first SOC supporting operations based in Pretoria. You will identify, analyze, and respond to cyber threats, leading threat intelligence efforts and developing strategies to defend against sophisticated attacks.

Responsibilities include monitoring alerts, analyzing threats, investigating breaches, and producing intelligence for security teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis.
• Proficiency analyzing security logs, network traffic, and malware samples.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and threat intelligence frameworks.
• Strong understanding of operating systems, networking, and common attack techniques.
