Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and analytical Cybersecurity Operations Analyst to join their expanding security team, operating remotely with an occasional requirement to be in Centurion . This role is central to monitoring, detecting, and responding to cyber threats in real-time. You will be on the front lines, protecting our client's digital infrastructure from malicious activities and ensuring the security posture of the organization is maintained at the highest level. The ideal candidate is a quick thinker, adept at using security tools, and passionate about staying ahead of the evolving threat landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts from various sources, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms.


• Analyze security events to identify potential threats, intrusions, and policy violations.


• Respond to security incidents according to established protocols, performing initial triage and containment.


• Conduct threat hunting activities to proactively discover undetected malicious activity.


• Assist in the development and refinement of security monitoring and incident response playbooks.


• Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend security enhancements to prevent recurrence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.


• 2-4 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or similar cybersecurity role.


• Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), IDS/IPS, and EDR solutions.
