Job summary

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent, certification not required.
• 2–3 years of retail cashier or sales experience.
• Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (cash registers, scanners, money counters).
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Customer satisfaction-oriented.
• Attention to detail and basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift items, and work in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Accept payments, ensure prices and quantities are accurate, and provide receipts to every customer.
• Operate scanners, scales, cash registers and other electronics as required.
• Keep reports of transactions up to date and accurate.
• Greet customers, assist with finding items and offer advice or recommendations.
• Resolve customer complaints efficiently and effectively.
• Greet customers entering or leaving the store and maintain a tidy checkout area.
• Provide pleasant, helpful service to ensure customer satisfaction.
