Job summary

VKB Group is seeking a customer-focused cashier at our Petrus Steyn branch to ensure accurate transactions and friendly service. You will handle paypoint activities, process card payments, and support daily banking while maintaining orderly records and stock control.

The role requires 2–3 years in cashier/retail or customer service, and fluency in Afrikaans and English. A team-oriented attitude and strong attention to detail are essential for success in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / NQF 4 and computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
• 2–3 years experience in cashier, retail, or customer service.
• Fluent Afrikaans and English (spoken and written).
• Team player with attention to detail and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Perform paypoint sales activities.
• Deliver professional customer service.
• Receive and allocate customer payments.
• Process card payments and related back-office administration.
• Reconcile and manage daily cash and cheque transactions.
• Complete daily banking requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Perform daily administrative duties.
• Processing stock claims.
• Perform stock control and inventory-related tasks.
• Place stock orders and assist with inventory replenishment activities.
• Adhere to security and loss control procedures.
• Support branch operations and customer service objectives.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and professional work environment.
