Job summary

Joint-Medical-Holdings in Durban seeks a CSSD Attendant to process used instrumentation for the main theatre and wards, perform detailed cleaning and prepare packs for sterilization.

You will ensure sterile supplies for OT, maintain infection control policies, and support linen and stock control while working under supervision and pressure. The role requires teamwork with theatre staff and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 qualification.
• Must have minimum 1-2 years relevant CSSD experience.
• CSSD Course and experience will be an advantage.
• Must be prepared to work additional hours on request.

Responsibilities

• Process used instrumentation for main theatre and wards.
• Conduct detailed cleaning of instrumentation before sterilization.
• Ensure sterile supplies to the OT/ward and infection control policies.
• Assist with linen control and surgical stock control.
• Work under pressure, independently and unsupervised.
