Job summary

Joint Medical Holdings is seeking an experienced Theatre Scrub Nurse to provide age-appropriate patient care within the nursing scope in Durban. You will support surgeons intraoperatively, maintain sterile fields, and uphold infection control standards while guiding theatre staff.

The role requires SANC registration, APC, and at least two years of scrub experience, with strong interpersonal skills and computer literacy.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse with valid APC.
• Two or more years of Scrub experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills essential.
• Computer literacy in MS Word & Excel advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate patient care within Nursing scope in Theatre.
• Lead and supervise staff in theatre.
• Handle drugs in compliance with legal requirements.
• Maintain aseptic technique and sterile field during procedures.
• Conduct instrument counts and assist surgeons intraoperatively.
• Ensure infection prevention and patient safety standards.
