Job summary

Joint Medical Holdings Group seeks a CSSD Attendant to support the central sterile services department. The role involves processing used instrumentation for the main theatre, detailed cleaning prior to sterilization, and ensuring sterile supplies to the OT and wards.

Key duties include autoclave operation, instrument handling, linen and stock control, and collaboration with theatre staff to manage instrument availability while adhering to infection control policies.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 qualification.
• Must have minimum 1-2 years relevant CSSD experience.
• CSSD Course and experience will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Process used instrumentation for main theatre and wards.
• Conduct detailed cleaning of instrumentation before sterilization.
• Ensure sterile supplies to the OT/ward.
• Manage linen control as well as surgical stock control.
• Work under pressure, independently and unsupervised.
• Liaise with Theatre staff to borrow or lend instruments.
