Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related role within financial services.
• In-depth knowledge of South African financial regulations and compliance requirements (AML/CTF).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to draft policies and reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance policies and procedures.
• Monitor activities to ensure adherence to regulations (FICA, POPIA, etc.).
• Conduct internal investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare regulatory reports for authorities.
• Provide training and guidance on compliance matters.
• Assess and manage compliance risks across the organization.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and auditors during examinations.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and advise the business accordingly.
• Manage customer due diligence and KYC processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the compliance framework.
