Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years as Chief Engineer on commercial vessels.
Knowledge of maritime regulations and safety protocols.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
On-call availability and long-hours readiness.
Valid Chief Engineer license and applicable certifications.
Proficiency with CMMS and maintenance reporting.

Responsibilities

Oversee the technical operations of vessels, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades onboard the cruise ship.
Ensure vessels comply with safety regulations and standards.
Manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support.
Develop and maintain maintenance schedules for all cruise ships.
Monitor and analyze vessel performance data to identify improvements.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely repairs.
Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment and order replacements as needed.
Conduct regular inspections of vessels to address issues promptly.
Train and mentor junior engineers and crew members.
Stay updated with maritime technology and implement where applicable.
Prepare reports and documentation for regulators and company policies.
