Job summary

Wowcher in South Africa is hiring a CRM Manager to join our fast-paced e-commerce team. You will own end-to-end email campaigns, ensure flawless deployment, and drive day-to-day CRM operations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in CRM/Email Marketing or Campaign Management in e-commerce or high-frequency retail.
• Solid experience building campaigns in ESP/CDP platforms.
• Experience with Bloomreach Engagement is a strong advantage; other platforms welcome.
• Able to analyze CRM metrics and run A/B tests.
• HTML/CSS skills to edit and troubleshoot email code.

Your Quest

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented CRM Manager to join our fast-paced e-commerce team. Sitting right in the sweet spot between an entry-level executive and a senior strategist, this mid-level role is heavily focused on the hands-on execution, building, and deployment of targeted email campaigns.

You will be the driving force behind our day-to-day email operations, ensuring campaigns are built flawlessly, tested rigorously, and dispatched on time. If you have a solid foundation in CRM execution and are ready to take ownership of campaign builds within a high-volume environment, this is the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Campaign Execution: Own the end-to-end setup, build, and deployment of daily promotional and lifecycle email campaigns.
• Platform Management: Utilize our customer data platform (Bloomreach Engagement) to segment audiences, configure campaign logic, and schedule send times.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous QA on all emails across multiple devices and clients to ensure rendering, links, and personalization tags are flawless prior to launch.
• Template Customization: Work with existing HTML email templates, making structural adjustments and dropping in dynamic content blocks as required by the campaign brief.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor campaign dispatches, confidently analyze core CRM metrics, and independently set up A/B tests to continuously optimize performance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the design, copywriting, and broader CRM teams to ensure all campaign assets are delivered on time and match the strategic brief.

What You Bring

• Experience: At least 4 years of hands-on experience in a CRM, Email Marketing, or Campaign Management role, ideally within an e-commerce or high-frequency retail environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Solid operational experience building campaigns in a tier-1 ESP or CDP.
• Platform Specifics: Prior experience specifically using Bloomreach Engagement is a significant advantage, but we will gladly consider candidates with strong experience in equivalent platforms (e.g., Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Iterable, or MessageGears).
• Analytics & Testing: Confident working with CRM performance metrics and fully capable of setting up, running, and evaluating A/B tests.
• Coding Knowledge: Must have HTML and CSS skills to a decent standard, with the ability to confidently edit, build, and troubleshoot email code across various email clients and devices.
• Bonus Skills: Familiarity with personalization and templating languages (such as Jinja or FreeMarker) is a strong plus.
• Attributes: Highly organized, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple overlapping campaign builds under tight daily deadlines.
