Job summary

Brights in the Western Cape seeks an Accounts Payable Clerk to ensure invoices align with statements, capture accurately, and manage supplier payments to secure on-time settlements.

You will reconcile creditor accounts, open new supplier accounts, and handle monthly reconciliations, forging strong communication with suppliers and maintaining confidentiality.

The role requires matric, accounting training, and at least two years' experience, with proficiency in Excel and accounting software.

Qualifications

• Matric or 120 credits equivalent is required.
• Brights Induction (Service excellence) completed.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role is required.
• Accounting training completed.
• Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office is required.

Responsibilities

• Check that invoices are accurately captured on the accounting system.
• Ensure payments are on time and accurate.
• Reconcile invoices with statements and preserve settlement discounts.
• Match invoices to orders and maintain supplier data.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of creditors statements.
