Job summary

Phakisa Holdings (Pty) Ltd is seeking an Accounts Payable professional to join the Parktown finance team. You will manage creditors’ accounts, process supplier invoices, reconcile statements, and ensure timely, accurate payments while upholding confidentiality and internal controls.

This role requires strong numerical/analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) is compulsory.
• A degree in accounting or a related field will be advantageous.
• 45 years of proven experience in accounts payable, creditors or bookkeeping.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and creditors' reconciliations.
• Computer literacy and experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process and capture supplier invoices accurately and timeously.
• Manage creditors' accounts and maintain financial records.
• Reconcile supplier statements against the accounting system.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment queries.
• Prepare creditor payment schedules and assist with processing.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and controls.
