Job summary

Matric - with at least 3 years' experience in creditors' accounts payable on Kerridge or SAP or relevantMinimum requirements:

• Preparation of creditor payment documents and capturing of payments
• Accurately capture invoices and match supporting documentation to ensure that the company is invoiced only for goods ordered and at the agreed prices
• Ensure invoices are correctly coded, accurately priced and properly authorised, with supporting proof of authorisation attached
• Process COD payments and manual cheques and prepare all related payment documentation
• Reconciliations
• Complete creditor reconciliations to verify that all costs relate to the company, supplier statements are reconciled before payment and duplicate payments are avoided
• Ensure all invoices are correctly authorised and supplier statements balance with the age analysis
• Ensure all current-month invoices are captured accurately on the system
• Compare supplier statements with ERP system transactions, including invoices and credit notes, and ensure outstanding invoices are accrued in the correct accounting period
• Ensure payment batches are cleared regularly and within the required monthly departmental deadlines
• Administration
• Maintain up-to-date filing systems and organise documents for easy reference
• Open and distribute incoming mail to the relevant departments or individuals
• Monitor and maintain stationery requirements for the department
