Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Credit Risk Analyst for our Richards Bay operation. The role focuses on assessing creditworthiness of corporate and individual borrowers, developing risk mitigations and ensuring policy compliance within a busy banking environment.

You will work with relationship managers to tailor credit solutions, monitor facilities and contribute to risk management system enhancements, located in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, ZA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
• 3–5 years in credit analysis, risk management, or similar role in financial services.
• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, ratio analysis and cash flow assessment.
• Familiarity with credit scoring models, risk metrics and Basel regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements and credit reports to assess creditworthiness of borrowers.
• Recommend credit limits, terms and conditions for clients.
• Monitor loan portfolio credit quality and identify early warning signs.
• Prepare credit analysis reports and present to credit committee.
