Job summary

Edge Executives is seeking an experienced Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Manager to develop, implement, and manage its OEM CPO programme across a national dealer network in South Africa. You will drive growth in certified used vehicle sales, protect residual values, and elevate customer ownership experiences through industry-leading standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales or related field.
• OEM Certified Used Vehicle accreditation is advantageous.
• 5–10 years in automotive retail industry.
• 3–5 years managing used vehicle operations.
• Experience in OEM or dealer group environments.
• Strong understanding of Certified Pre-Owned programmes.
• Dealer network management experience.
• Strong commercial, financial, and analytical skills.
• Experience with digital vehicle sales platforms.
• Proficiency in DMS, CRM platforms, and Excel.
• Knowledge of valuation, appraisal, pricing, auctions, remarketing.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, launch, and manage the OEM Certified Pre-Owned programme.
• Grow CPO sales volume, profitability, and market share.
• Increase dealer participation through programme initiatives.
• Monitor dealer performance and conduct business reviews.
• Implement improvement plans for underperforming dealerships.
• Ensure dealer compliance with OEM certification, warranty, inspection and CX standards.
• Conduct dealer audits to maintain programme integrity.
• Support dealers with used vehicle sourcing, stock mix, pricing strategies.
• Monitor trade-in, auction activity, and gross profit.
• Ensure certified vehicles meet inspection, history standards.
• Protect residual values through pricing analysis and benchmarking.
• Manage warranty programmes, certification processes, and roadside assistance.
• Develop and execute national and dealer-focused CPO marketing campaigns.
• Deliver dealer training on appraisal, inspections, certification, digital retailing, and finance opportunities.
• Manage programme profitability through control of warranty, marketing and costs.
