Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a financial accounting role, preferably in agriculture or FMCG.
• Strong cost accounting and reconciliation knowledge.
• Experience with foreign currency transactions and banking processes is advantageous.
• Advanced Excel skills with exposure to ERP/accounting systems such as Syspro and QX.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the configuration and administration of cost accounting systems.
• Prepare and process producer payments and remittance statements accurately and on time.
• Reconcile sales, commissions, and general ledger accounts.
• Process commercial invoices and manage balance sheet control accounts.
• Assist with cash flow planning and monitor foreign exchange transactions.
• Supervise foreign currency bank accounts and related currency contracts.
• Administer debtors and creditors per company policies.
• Maintain strong working knowledge of systems used in citrus packing and export activities.
• Monitor overseas market performance to support financial planning and reporting.

Our client in the Agriculture Industry is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate cost allocation throughout the supply chain, preparing producer payments, reconciling key accounts.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field will be advantageous.
