Job summary

Farm Manager SA in the Citrusdal area of the Western Cape is seeking a capable financial manager to oversee all accounting functions. You will prepare monthly management accounts, manage budgets, oversee VAT/PAYE/SARS compliance, and handle cash flow, debtors, creditors, payroll, banking and export finance.

The role supports financial operations across farming, production, packhouse, logistics and export activities, working in a fast-paced agricultural environment and delivering timely financial

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting/financial management experience.
• Experience with full accounting functions and management reporting.
• Experience with Pastel, Sage or similar accounting software.
• Good understanding of VAT, PAYE and SARS requirements.
• Strong cash-flow management and budgeting skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Citrusdal area - Western Cape: The successful candidate will be responsible for the full financial function, including monthly management accounts, budgeting, cash-flow management, VAT and SARS compliance, creditors, debtors, payroll oversight, banking, export finance, costing and financial analysis.

The position also provides financial support across our farming, production, packhouse, logistics and export operations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years & relevant accounting/financial management experience.
• Experience with full accounting functions and management reporting.
• Experience with accounting software such as Pastel, Sage or similar.
• Good understanding of VAT, PAYE and SARS requirements.
• Strong understanding of cash-flow management and budgeting.
• Valid driver & licence.
• Agricultural or farming environment.
• Fresh produce or flower industry.
• Export businesses.
• Foreign-currency transactions.
