Job summary

Sibanye-Stillwater in South Africa seeks a Senior Operator to operate and monitor plant processes, ensuring safe, quality, and cost-effective production within the assigned area.

You will adhere to SOPs, report defects, and initiate maintenance; contribute to meeting production targets while maintaining SHE standards and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent) with Maths and Science.
• English literacy required; NQF5 in chemical/metallurgical engineering advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Senior Operator in a processing production environment.
• Internal applicants with 5 years’ experience without maths/science must be English literate.
• Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
• Clear security screening record and valid driver’s license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plant processes to ensure safe, quality, cost-effective production.
• Adhere to SOPs and work schedules; monitor equipment performance.
• Identify and report defects; initiate maintenance requests.

Job description

Additional Requirements

• Mineral Processing / Metal Production NQF level 2 qualification (6 months) will be advantageous
