Job summary

Bidvest Protea Coin seeks a Security Manager to advise clients, assess threats, liaison with clients, and manage manpower and equipment in a mining environment.

You will lead investigations, ensure safety compliance, chair disciplinary hearings, and oversee incident resolution while maintaining high service standards and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• PSIRA Grade A certification required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills at all levels.
• Experience in investigations and intelligence gathering.
• Experience in mining environment preferred.
• Must be willing to undergo polygraph testing.

• Client liaison and professional client relationship.
• Manpower Management.
• Equipment Management.
• Effectively dealing with and managing client complaints.
• Ensure that contractual requirements are met at all times.
• Initiating and chairing disciplinary hearings.
• Incident and investigation management.
• Ensure compliance to the Company’s disciplinary code.
• Health & Safety management.
• Ensuring Security Officers problems that are reported are solved.
• Ensure that all company SOP’s are followed.
• Ensure BPC policies and procedures are followed at all times.
• Ensure that training takes place as and when required.
• After hour visits and standby duties.

Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills:

• PSIRA certification – Grade A
• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification;
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in a management position and Mining environment;
• Chrome/Platinum/Illegal Mining Experience;
• Investigation/intelligence experience;
• Relevant experience as an administrator;
• Must be willing to undergo polygraph test;
• The ability to communicate and present at all levels;
• The ability to work under pressure;
• Fleet management;
• Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record;
• Own transport and accommodation;
