Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to lead operations at project sites around Richards Bay. You will supervise on-site personnel, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure projects meet safety, budget, and schedule targets.

The ideal candidate has a construction management or related degree, at least five years of site management experience, and a solid understanding of codes and safety standards. A site safety certificate is required.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of site management or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Proven ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and site logistics effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Valid site safety certificate (e.g., OSHA or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities on construction sites, ensuring plans and specs are followed.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental policies on site.
• Supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and site staff.
• Monitor progress, identify delays or issues, and implement solutions.
• Manage site resources (equipment, materials, personnel) for efficiency.
• Maintain daily logs, safety reports, and progress updates.
