About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, coordinating subcontractors, overseeing the workforce, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of on-site construction activities from project initiation to completion.
• Develop and implement detailed construction schedules and ensure adherence to timelines.

• Supervise and direct the work of site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring high performance and quality output.
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on all construction sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure quality control.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and to resolve any issues.

Requirements

• A National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in construction management, with at least 3 years in a site management role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering various types of construction projects (residential, commercial, industrial).
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Must be resourceful, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
• Located in or able to relocate to the Mossel Bay, Western Cape area.
