About the Role

Our client, a leading developer and constructor of industrial facilities, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Site Manager for projects in and around Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal . This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership to oversee all aspects of site operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site personnel, coordinating subcontractors, enforcing quality standards, and ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations. You will be the primary point of contact on-site, liaising with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure seamless project execution. This role demands a proactive approach, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality construction outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage day-to-day on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules.

• Review and approve method statements and risk assessments from subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and incident reports.
• Manage the procurement and delivery of materials and equipment to the site.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and contractual obligations for projects in the Richards Bay area.

Requirements

• A National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in construction site management, with a proven track record on industrial or commercial projects.
• Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and sequencing.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations (e.g., OHSA Act) and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
