Job summary

Stefanutti Stocks Group is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, employee relations and payroll processes on our projects in Gauteng and beyond.

The role requires 3–5 years of generalist HR experience, knowledge of SA labour legislation, and proficiency with MS Office and SAGE 300 People. You will maintain employee records, coordinate interviews, and assist with payroll input and compliance matters.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Relevant HR qualification or degree is preferred.
• Experience with recruitment, onboarding and employee administration.
• Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment activities for project-based vacancies.
• Assist management with sourcing, screening and shortlisting suitable candidates.
• Coordinate interviews, reference checks and pre-employment requirements.
• Prepare employment documentation and ensure all required supporting documents are obtained.
• Coordinate employee onboarding and HR induction processes.
• Ensure new employees are correctly captured, and documentation is submitted within required timelines.
• Maintain accurate recruitment and onboarding trackers.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files and HR records.
• Process employee movements, transfers and promotions.
• Prepare HR letters, confirmations, notices and other employee documentation.
• Maintain employee databases, trackers and project manpower information.
• Monitor fixed-term contract dates and other employee-related deadlines.
• Ensure HR documentation is properly filed and readily available for audits.
