Job summary

Old Mutual Life Assurance Company (SA) Ltd in Johannesburg seeks a Financial Accountant within the Group Financial Control team. The role partners with segments to consolidate financial results under IFRS, preparing OMLAC(SA) and group statements, while supporting disclosures and annual reports.

Reporting to the Consolidation Reporting Manager, you will drive technical accounting, inter-company eliminations, and continuous process improvements within Group Finance.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA with extensive financial reporting experience.
• Experience with group consolidation processes and intercompany eliminations.
• Solid IFRS, Companies Act and JSE knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or review consolidation inputs/outputs for OMLAC (SA) and consolidation.
• Lead external reporting for the consolidated OML Group and IFRS disclosures.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, Companies Act and JSE Listings Requirements.
• Provide guidance on technical accounting issues and improve consolidation processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and support ad hoc reporting projects.
