Job summary

Vineyard Hotel Newlands in Cape Town is seeking a Conferencing & Events Bartender (Hourly Paid) to deliver exceptional beverage service, manage bar setup, stock takes and smooth operation during conferences and events, and provide a personalized guest experience. Requirements include Matric (NSC/NQF 4) and at least 1 year banqueting and bartender experience.

You will uphold hygiene standards, assist with bar stations, and align with hotel operations.

Qualifications

• Matric NSC (NQF 4) required.
• At least 1 year banqueting and bartender experience.
• Satisfactory criminal record, subject to assessment of nature, severity and recency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth service flow while maintaining hygiene and safety standards.

Conferencing & Events Bartender | Vineyard Hotel Newlands, Cape Town (Hourly Paid) The Conferencing & Events (Banqueting) Bartender ensures exceptional beverage service by upholding established standards. They oversee bar preparation, stocking, and efficient operation during service while delivering a personalized and memorable experience for every guest.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure smooth service flow while maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
• Set up bar and satellite stations promptly and according to SOP specifications.
• Execute all operational tasks efficiently to support seamless bar operations.
• Align bar services with overall hotel operations for consistency.
• Maintain bar equipment and glassware in good condition.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric Required (National Senior Certificate NQF 4)
• At least 1 year Banqueting and Bartender experience.
• Satisfactory criminal record, subject to assessment of the nature, severity, relevance, and recency of any offence.
