RiseUp Group in KwaZulu-Natal is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to maintain, repair and install mechanical equipment in the confectionery production facility. You will attend to breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance and ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills, the ability to minimise downtime, and a collaborative approach to maintenance improvements and setup.

Formación

• Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with breakdown response and maintenance planning.
• Willingness to work in confectionery manufacturing environment.

Responsabilidades

• Attend to mechanical breakdowns on production machinery.
• Conduct preventative mechanical maintenance.
• Inspect machinery for wear, damage and potential failures.
• Repair and replace bearings, shafts, belts and other components.
• Assist with machinery installation, commissioning and changeovers.
• Maintain maintenance records and ensure tools are well kept.
• Respond promptly to production breakdowns.
• Follow safety procedures and keep maintenance areas tidy.
