Job summary

Tumaini Consulting is assisting a client in finding a Trade Tested Fitter for a facility in South Africa. The role provides mechanical maintenance support, responds to breakdowns and aids preventative maintenance to improve plant reliability.

The successful candidate will perform repairs on production equipment, interpret drawings, and participate in shutdowns; ensuring safety procedures and maintenance standards are followed throughout.

Qualifications

• FMCG maintenance experience in food/beverage sectors.
• Mechanical fault-finding and repair abilities.
• Experience with rotating equipment and mechanical drives.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance principles.
• Ability to interpret technical and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical maintenance and repairs on production equipment.
• Investigate and rectify mechanical breakdowns.

• Complete maintenance documentation and job cards.
