Tumaini Consulting is seeking a Fitter to ensure reliability of production machinery at a plastic manufacturing facility in KwaZulu-Natal. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faults and support installations to keep lines running smoothly.

Applicants should have a Matric and Fitter Trade Test, with 3-5 years in plastics, strong mechanical experience, and the ability to read drawings and diagnose rotating equipment.

Qualificações

• Matric is required.
• Fitter Trade Test is mandatory.
• 3-5 years' experience in a plastic manufacturing facility.
• Strong mechanical maintenance and breakdown experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering and mechanical drawings.
• Experience working with rotating equipment and production machinery.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out scheduled preventative mechanical maintenance.
• Respond to production breakdowns and restore equipment functionality.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
• Inspect machinery and identify maintenance requirements.
• Maintain and repair industrial production equipment.
• Work on pumps, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors and associated machinery.
• Assist with machinery installations and commissioning.
• Participate in planned shutdowns and maintenance projects.
• Support production teams with mechanical fault finding.
• Identify recurring equipment failures and assist with root-cause investigations.
