Job summary

Momentum in Durban is seeking an Operations Support role to oversee day-to-day batch scheduling and infrastructure checks, ensuring services meet targets and supporting senior staff during production runs.

The incumbent will monitor performance, escalate incidents, collaborate with infrastructure teams, maintain documentation, and operate systems according to defined procedures to sustain reliable service delivery.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is essential.
• IT Degree / Diploma is advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years' experience working with batch scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the performance of operations to ensure that service quality is adhered to.
• Follow and perform the accurate escalation processes and communicate on the relevant incidents.
• Identify business risks to the company and elevate accordingly.
• Collaborate and work with the infrastructure teams to deliver required service levels.
• Maintain and produce required operational documentation.
• Operate systems according to procedures.
• Perform regular checks.
• Monitor the day to day operations, system and services of internal infrastructure.
• Identify any fault with systems or services and elevate accordingly.
• Assist Team Leader with all documentation to be kept current & relevant.
• Monitor system activity batch jobs, devices.
• Operate, monitor and maintain computer systems.
