Duties & Responsibilities

• Initial duties and responsibilities will depend on the background and experience of the successful candidate, but could include any of the following, amongst others:
• Compliance related tasks in relation to the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, the Collective Investment Schemes Control Act, Insurance legislation/regulations, investment compliance, the Financial Intelligence Centre Act, the Protection of Personal Information Act, Financial Sector Regulation Act and pending legislation such as the Conduct of Financial Institutions (COFI) Bill;
• Regulatory reporting and monitoring with respect to applicable legislation;
• Maintenance, review and monitoring of internal compliance policies and procedures.
• Monitoring and updating the business on regulatory/industry developments.
• Driving initiatives to prepare for and implement new or amended regulations.
• Monitoring and reporting on compliance obligations and risks.
• Reporting to regulators.
• Interacting with regulators, industry bodies and internal stakeholders.
• Participating in, or leading staff training and awareness initiatives.
• Opportunity to take on global compliance tasks.

Ideal Experience

• A minimum of 5 years relevant compliance experience is required.

Ideal Qualifications

• A completed Accounting, Legal or related bachelor’s degree is required.
