Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Social Auxiliary Worker to provide essential support services in Stellenbosch under the supervision of a Social Worker. You will assist individuals and families facing social challenges and help them access community resources.

This role focuses on home- and community-based support, documenting progress, advocating for clients, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote well-being and social inclusion in the Western Cape.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Social Auxiliary Work from an accredited institution.
• Registration with SACSSP as Social Auxiliary Worker.
• Previous experience in social services or community-based settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist Social Workers in assessing client needs and developing care plans.
• Provide direct support and follow-up services to clients in their homes or community settings.
• Facilitate access to social services, community programs, and essential resources.
• Monitor client progress and report observations and outcomes to the supervising Social Worker.
• Conduct basic counseling and support sessions as guided by the Social Worker.
• Maintain accurate case notes and documentation in compliance with organizational policies.
