Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Recreation Center Manager in Vereeniging to oversee daily operations, staff, budgets, and facility maintenance. You will lead diverse recreational programs, ensure safety and high-quality service, and foster strong relationships with members and community stakeholders.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least four years of facility management or program leadership experience, plus proficiency in Office and facility management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in facility management or recreation program leadership.
• Proven experience in staff supervision, budget management, and program development.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within recreational facilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and facility management software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily operations of the recreation center, including staff scheduling and performance.
• Develop, implement, and promote a diverse range of recreational programs and activities.
• Manage the center's budget, including revenue generation and expense control.
• Ensure the facility is well-maintained, clean, and safe for all users.
• Handle member inquiries, complaints, and feedback effectively.
• Foster positive relationships with staff, members, and community stakeholders.
