Job summary

Placements24 in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, ZA is seeking a proactive Social Integration Facilitator to support individuals from marginalized backgrounds in integrating into the community. This hybrid role combines in-person client work and remote planning, reporting, and events.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in social support, case management, and community work, with a strong focus on inclusion and intercultural communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Community Development, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in social support, community work, or integration services.
• Proven experience in case management and developing support plans.
• Strong understanding of social inclusion, diversity, and intercultural communication.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs and challenges faced by individuals seeking social integration.
• Develop personalized integration plans and provide ongoing support.
• Facilitate introductions and connections with community groups, services, and social networks.
• Organize and lead workshops and activities focused on life skills, cultural understanding, and community engagement.
• Provide advocacy and support for individuals navigating local systems and services.
• Collaborate with schools, employers, local government, and NGOs to create supportive pathways.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to clients and management.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case notes and program documentation.
• Conduct research on community resources and best practices for social integration.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development using in-person and remote channels.
