You will develop and implement community engagement strategies, oversee CSR programs, and act as the liaison between the mine and diverse stakeholders, requiring strong negotiation and communication skills and deep understanding of the Eastern Cape socio-economic landscape.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Sciences, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in community relations, stakeholder engagement, or a similar role, preferably in the mining or extractive industries.
• Strong understanding of community development principles and practices.
• Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective community engagement strategies.
• Act as the primary point of contact for community members, leaders, and organizations.
• Manage and resolve community grievances and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Oversee the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs and projects.
• Facilitate communication between the mine management and the local community.
• Monitor community sentiment and provide feedback to management on social risks and opportunities.
