About The Learnership

• The course consists of 30% intensive theory work delivered by an accredited training provider and 70% of workplace training. The learner will be declared competent upon successfully completing all coursework and the of Portfolio of Evidence.
• The learner will receive responsibilities in line with the qualification, to complete set outcomes as part of the workplace training and the learner will be supervised and mented by a highly trained Social Worker.
• Community Development Work learners will work in all Communicare complexes and/or communities and as such, will be required to travel.
• The learner will receive a monthly stipend.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance and support to Social Workers with the rendering of a social work service around the care, support, protection, and development of vulnerable individuals, groups, families, and communities through the relevant programmes.
• Assist Social Workers to attend to any other matters that could result in, or stem from, social instability of any form.
